S2000 VS. 350Z
Sorry, I only took the time to read the title, so this may be off:
I owned a 350Z for a long time before I sold it recently; in that time, I raced many MANY S2K's
I found that from a roll, its a drivers race, but if the S2K top is down, the Z has a MUCH higher top speed if youre going that high. However, if the S2K is a hardtop or top is up, it stays a drivers race.
However, the Z responds much better to mods than the S2000 ie: Headers can make 30 WHP on a Z, but I have seen headers gain 3 HP on an S2000.
The car you have is VERY well balanced, braked, lightened, and powered(Fack Grammmar).
When I had my Stillen Stage 3 automatic Z, it lost to a Comptech S, so...uh, if youre gonna do road racing, get the S2000
If youre gonna mod the hell outta it and then do whatever, the Z is your dog.
I typed funny, please excuse!

Hey, that article I was talking about made it onto the web today:
http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?se...9&page_number=1
Lap times, Buttonwillow west loop. same driver:
350Z: 70.86
s2000: 69.88
Keep in mind these test cars are bone stock.
