Other than increasing the displacement, I know of no NA mod that will net 40 HP.
If you consider a MY00 or 01 S2K with the original ECUs, you could usually net 10hp from a VAFC, with some bolt on mods (I/H/E) and including a test pipe, I think you might be able to use an AEM EMS instead of the VAFC to tune a MY00-01 S2000 to the tune of 15-20hp more than stock, maybe even more. I dunno, 30-40hp isn't easy, but I don't know if its impossible.

BTW- This vid shows the same driver with an E36 M3, who seems to also be able to drive pretty well, the S2K can keep up, but doesn't pass the E36 M3 ... Maybe its just something about 240hp cars that make them faster than those 400hp+ ones ...

I love the way he rode there ass on the corners, but I too think that the guys in the Farrari were not pushing the car.

Uhh, no. The Challenge Stradale basically weighs the same as an S (~2800 lbs).

What you guys don't seem to understand is the concept of different drivers. The driver in the S is pushing the car much harder and is probably a better driver than the one in the Ferrari. But, who really knows the motivation of the driver in the Ferrari, maybe he didn't want to break his new toy. Who knows.
I already said his S has weight reduction modifications. It's not the same as a 360.

If you saw a picture of the car's interior, you wouldn't want it as a daily driver. It's a track dedicated car.

The best mod is the driver mod. ;-)

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, I'm sure, but I think this guy set the record for an S2000 at the Nuerburgring.

www.track-challenge.com - S2000 - 8 minutes, 39 seconds.

I read somewhere that he built the car specificially for the Ring and then decided to travel all over Europe and try to set S2000 records at different tracks. I also remember that he put about $30k into mods. Interesting that none of them involve forced induction.

Umm, if it was filmed in europe wouldn't the E36 be in the 330hp range? Different engines in the E36 in europe. And no I'm not confused with an E46
