I've never driven a F-SAE car but have had them run at numerous autocrosses locally. The relatively square chassis setup (track is approaching the same distance as wheelbase) makes 'em appear to be a handful at 10/10ths - they'll spin on a dime as well as at the drop of a hat.

They're faster'n hell, though, when driven properly...
