S2000 vs a semi OR hide your keys when going on vacation
It's sad for me to say my '00 S2000 #5499 is a total loss.
While I was on vacation, my cousin borrowed the car and lost control ( still don't know how ) and hit a semi.
Thankfully, he and his passenger were unharmed.
The passenger created this website detailing the accident.

The car wreakage is in pictures 12-37.
I've been a member of this board since back in 1998.
I waited over a year to get my car, it will be missed.

to get into it w/a semi, & have the car look that good afterwords(relatively speaking)....they were very lucky. Sorry about your S....I'd be so bummed about the car, but happy that everyone walked away from it.

So, your cousin:
1) crossed two lanes of traffic at once, (careful!)
2) setting himself up to ram a semi from behind, (look out!)
3) yanked the wheel back, and just lost it. (D'OH!)
*sigh* This is why nobody else drives my car.
At least no one was hurt. Hopefully your cousin will become a more (1) careful, (2) attentive, and (3) skilled driver after this.
Very very sorry for your loss.

Can somebody please write a "thank you" note to Mr. Honda for designing a convertible strong enough to save the lifes of the young man who wrecked this car and his eloquent friend?
Oh my gosh, this took my breath away. Remind me to not lend my car to Asif.

It doesn't look like there was a straight panel left on that car - almost like it was attacked!!!!
And how about that tear right above the head of the occupant!
Very Lucky!
