Raced one today, well I raced he just pulled away. Roll on from 20 miles/hr. me in first gear, those cars are awesome, metalic blue w/
500 hp written on the rear fender. It was worth it just to see and hear him go. Those babies look like they have enough muscle to scare anybody!

Yea, those dang things are scary fast. Just don't try to turn it! Kill these guys in the twisties where they are oafish and sloppy.

But in a straight line? Forget about it!

S2000 vs. Viper GTS-R

Bambi vs. Godzilla, no contest.

Personally, I think Bambi is cute, and wouldn't have anything to do with a Godzilla, even if it would stomp an S2K 10 times out of 10.

It really depends on where you are talking about this 10 out of 10. I have seen Viper's buns get wiped all over the place at autocrosses. All kinds of cars were beating this Viper and he was a very active autox'er. Take that beast to a wide open track like Road America, it'll show the S2000 what's what all day long. But any tight twisty course, the Viper just has troubles with. There is usually one or two at the various tracks I frequent and yea, they are powerful, but no, they really don't handle all that well.

Yea, those mile wide tires help, but the chassis is based on the Ram truck. It's the typical big iron Detroit approach to cars...big horsepower, blah blah blah. I like them OK, but you really have to define where you are competing with the Viper. Making blanket statements like 10 out of 10 is simpleminded...

I agree with you - the Viper is an oafish and brutish vehicle.

Gregg, we all know the S2K, on the other hand, in the hands of a competent driver, is a superb handling car. That's why it's always so funny and refreshing to hear about you running yours off the track into the sandbox, or totaling it altogether, or getting ticket after ticket... I wouldn't call that simpleminded, just inept. I can just imagine what a menace to society you would be in something like a Viper.
That would be 10 out of 10.

2X6, your arrogance never ceases to amaze me. What is so far up your keester that you have to resort to personal attacks? You have called me brain damaged, you call me a menace to society? What's your problem?

And I have only gotten two tickets this year. I suppose that you are unable to count, you're an attorney after all.

If you care to continue to insult, at least you can spell my name correctly. It's only got on "G" on the end. Must be that you can't read, either.

I personally don't care what you think of me. I post the posts that I post for entertainment value as well as some kind of educational value to a group of people I have come to know and like. Your continual harrassment is nothing short of fascinating.

Leave me alone, your snide, crass and ridiculous comments about me and my character are neither appreciated, correct nor warranted. I'm done with you, you don't deserve the energy it took to type this post...

Here's a few final ones for you,

Now leave me alone, as well...

Gregg, when you call someone "simpleminded" you probably shouldn't expect a hug in return.

As much as i enjoy watching you two duke it out, 2x6, your comments are completely unnecessary. Greg, I understand your response, but as a moderator, I can't say you're innocent in this either. Anymore quibbles between you two, and it's locked. This goes for future threads as well.

Oh I just love you guys!

I am trying to think of the types of events the S2K would beat the Viper GTS-R. Same driver in both, hypothetically Mika Hakinen.

Big road coarse (Suzuka)? Viper
Pikes Peak Hill Climb? Viper
Talledega? Viper, duh
Supercross? both high centered
Mudbog? both sunk to the axles

In fact, all I can think of for the S2K is autocross perhaps. I can't think of ten events. Help, I may be up all night.
