spotted a sweet silver S2000 in Wailua (Kauai) last weekend. i was the poor punter waving at you from the giant white rental ford explorer with the surfboards on the roof.

would love to have my S2000 here (though god knows where I'd drive it (speaking of which i saw a Ferrari drive by the other day on the Kuhio highway. talk about a wasted car... they probably never get it out of second - grin).

Was this the one that you saw?



My wife and I saw this one at the Coconut Grove Marketplace in Kapaa back in September last year when we were there on vacation. It was there for several days which led us to believe that it was owned by someone who owned or worked in a shop in that shopping center. We asked around, but no one new who owned it. We did found out that there is another silver one on Kauai.

The only place in Kauai that would be any fun to drive a S2000 would be the road to Waimea Canyon, but only when it's not clogged by rental cars and SUVs.

 

That's funny. I was in Kauai right around xmas time and saw that silver s2000 also. it was up by the helecopter pads where they give helecopter tours of kauai. I never did find out who it belonged to though.

saw it two more times, but couldn't track the guy down.
saw in in Wailua Homesteads and in Princeville.

there are sections of Kuhio Highway that would be fun if it were not for the tourists and the aggressive cops.

oh well -- as much as it may be heresy, surfing perfect head high hanalei in the winter more than makes up for not having the S2000 to drive (grin).

just think, out there in hawaii there's no need to even have a top let alone a convertible one. It was so warm out there during xmas.

The car on Kuhio was a knock off and used to live next door to my sister. She moved to Kona last year. The dude missed the bullet as a company in San Dimas, CA. had used real Ferarri Emblems on their "kit car". Got sued and came looking for their output. He said it had been crashed and totalled out. GOG I LOVE THE INTERNET! What are the odds......
