I know this has been covered, but I can't find the thread! When I do a keyword search my computer goes nuts. The oil dipstick showing full on one side and low on the other...which side do we use? Also, if I'm needing to add some oil, what kind should I use? I realize the engine has "break in" oil in it now, but that is obviously unavailable, so what should I add? Thanks for the reply...if any...hehe.

Use the side with 2 dots. Swing by your Honda dealer and pick up some 10W30 oil.

All I did was bring in my car and told them i was low on oil. the general manager said he knew about the problem and topped it up for me free of charge..maybe you can save yourself a couple of bucks..

Thanks fellas. I went to my dealer and got the questions answered to my satisfaction as well. The dipstick is supposed to be read from the passenger side, but using the drivers side markings. The break in oil is Mobil, same as the new Honda oil, just a little sweeter. At least, those are the explanations. Thanks again.

Thanks for that advice, h2000. That's a pretty good idea. After only three weeks, I'm already a half a quart low, so I think I will have them top it off when it loses the full quart...at their expense.
