I would like to start a page on how much parts weight on the S2000

I am on a quest to shed 300 Pounds off the s2000

here are some of the things I have weighed.

Heat shield engine compartment 1.5 Lbs
cruise control unit 3.5 Lbs
Spare tire/Jack 30lbs
Oem air intake 9lbs
hood insulation 1.5lbs
A/c with NO COMPRESSOR 13 lbs
heater core, blower, A?C unit 22Lbs
Passenger airbag 6lbs

 

Stock Hood with NO insulation. But with latch 19 lbs

 

Air manifold without throttle body and without IAC is 10.5 Lbs

 

You reinventing the wheel too?

All these weights have been listed here on S2KI before.

The OEM intake is 9 lbs but you're gonna replace it with something right?

Looks like you're removing the manifold too.

Those wheels and tires are heavy. I'd remove those first.

 

Get rid of the heavy battery and get this 540 CCC battery that weighs under 5 pounds.
