How can something called a "lovebug" be such a nuisance!?
Yeah, probably a good coating of wax / polish should help make the stuff wash off easier.

Because they fly around in clouds of thousands of them while mating. Their guts are acidic and will etch the paint in not much time at all if it's not washed off. The filthy little bastards need to get a room.
I washed my car yesterday and just between driving to and from work today, I can barely see through the windshield because of all the splatter of dead lovebugs. I'll be washing the car again tomorrow I guess.

A little story- My friends 3yo. grandson was closely watching a couple lovebugs out on his porch one day and asked his grandpop "what are those bugs doing Grandpa?" reply- "those are lovebugs son , they fly around hugging each other all day long". He went back over and studied them a little more for a couple of minutes then turned around and said " Grandpa, it doesen't look like their hugging to me"
