S2000's for around $20k?
Hey guys,
I've been logging on to these forums for quite a while but this is my first official post. Let me start off by saying that I seriously almost get a woody whenever I think about S2000's. I had an Acura Integra GS-R but it was totalled a few months ago and I am now currently in the process of saving money for my next car. I absolutely worshipped my Integra. I had so much fun with the vtec. I can't imagine how crazy an S2000 would be, having 70 more HP and a 9k rpm redline. For my next ride, I am considering an S2000 and the Subaru WRX. My first choice is DEFINITELY the Honda but I'm worried that I won't be able to find one in my price range of around 20k. I'd like to get one with no more than 40k miles. Do you guys think I have a reasonable chance of finding one in, say, four months? Thanks for your help guys!

Any specific years you are looking for or does it matter? You can definitely find an S2000 for $20K with 40K miles but it takes a lot of searching. I hope you don't really have a "must-have or will die" color choice for the car because often when the perfect deal comes around, the car's usually in a color that you don't like, but if you don't mind and enjoy it for what it is rather than the color, then the good deals are out there but you gotta spend time looking. Good luck searching!

You can find deals like that, like Formula said...it just might not be the color you want. I found mine with 9K miles and the exact color combo I wanted...just takes time. Definitely buy privately so that you get to meet the owner. Mine was owned by an older retired couple who were "afraid" to take it past 6K. Autotrader and other publications like that are a big help.

Nice, thanks for the help guys! Yea, I know that a deal isn't going to jump right out at me. I'm used to searching since GS-R's were hard to come by around here in my price range but I waited and found a great deal. Hopefully it will be the same way this time around. As for color choice, I'm just partial to Berlina Black w/ Red interior but I will GLADLY take any color as long as the car is in good shape w/ low mileage. I for one think the S looks amazing in any color so I don't have anything to lose really. These months are gonna be long as hell........

If you are looking for an S2000 in the $20,000 range, it's not very hard to do. Just look for a while and you will find a good deal. I bought mine for $21,000 and it had only 27,000 miles on it. And the previous owner was a 52 year old man that was the vice president of Honeywell. So I'm pretty sure he took care of it.

I recently found a 2000 for $22,000 at a local Lexus dealership AND it only had 8000 miles ! I bought mine in October with 20,000 miles and i payed a little more than that. But at the time i payed less than book-value. However, if you want a good deal and somewhere in the $20,000 range, now during the winter is the time to buy! Check Autotrader.com, thats where i found mine. I was going to wait till this winter to buy but when i saw this one for sale, i had to jump on it. And when i test-drove it, well that was it. I had to own it after that. I was now hooked on it! I dont regret buying this car when i did, and i absolutely love it! I can hardly wait till spring, as she is now in hibernation
