dangit... and I was looking to go to VIR. So are s2000's banned 4 ever or just the event you mention above?

Unless the S2000 is modified with approved rollbar, it is _not_ allowed at VIR for any event other than paced laps (behind pace car) at highway speeds.

Of course, for actual wheel-to-wheel racing, full SCCA-approved equipment is required.

Yes, banned for ever unless an approved roll bar becomes available.

But the route Davies2k is going looks promising. He's developing a bar and applying for SCCA approval. The plan is for a relatively easy install with a minimum of cutting.
