S2000's and High Mileage
abuse of any mechanical device can result in failure. Oil starvation and mechanical over revs will not bode well for an s2k (or any car). That being said, i'd worry more about getting a 1 owner car, preferebly not a younger fellow who has clearly been having "too" much fun
Check out this thread, "200,000 mile club". Lots of info you may find useful:

If you get a car that's been properly maintained and not abused then there's no reason it won't see 200,000+ miles. To answer your question of how high mileage an S2000 I would buy, that's entirely personal preference. I personally would not buy one with over 80k miles on it to start but that's because I want to minimize the chance of the car being abused or maintenance being forgotten, plus I would want something that I know has a lot of life left in it. When I bought my 06 I really wanted one with under 40k miles but I found mine with just under 60k. I bought it and now it's approaching 80k. No issues at all. I've changed my front brake pads and done regular maintenance and that's it so far.

I would say an s2000 at 150k would be in better shape than a normal car at 150k solely because of what the car is. It is an above average sports car that many owners buy as a second car, keep in the garage, and take meticulous care of. For that reason it would not bother me to buy one with 100+. Many people may argue with me but the care taken to the exterior/interior often reflects the care taken to the hardware. If it looks like crap, it will probably not last worth a crap.
Sell your car as is ...to nice to part out , someone will love that car no question !!! BTW how much have you put into your car , looks nice but i'd be perpared to sell it at a lost ...doesn't matter if your buying an S ..you'll forget abt that Civic in no time ...best of luck , welocome to the club
The best thing to do is look at the previous owners and the vehicle history. I didn't want one that was heavily modded because one: I wanted to mod it myself and two: there was less chance of it being abused. Mileage can often be a red herring when one with higher mileage can be cheaper but the owner took care of it vs. one with lower mileage and a higher price. You can get a real deal on a higher mileage S2K if you find one that was well maintained.
