yeah it is quite expensive...and parking in decent parking lot and areas (i won't park my baby in bad areas or bad parking lots) will run you about USD4.00 per hour...even if you are willing to go cheap, would be about USD2.50...but that would also mean that your car is going to be quite far away from where you want to go..........

The car is the cheap thing, the taxes involved, insurance, parking is ridiculous.

check out www.car8.com for prices on used/new cars in HK

Why not import yours?
I would have done it in a heartbeat if it's possible.

Hong Kong, just like Japan, has right-hand drive cars. I checked, and it turns out LHD cars are not allowed.

The running cost of the S probably won't be much more in Hong Kong than in Manhattan. I'm paying $350 a month for parking anyway, and I don't drive my car much. But the fact that the price of the car is so high and the resale value is so low is making the picture very different ...

Register it in China, then drive it to HK. Cars are LHD in China.
My uncle did that with a Camaro.

Exporting one S2000 to China will improve our trade inbalance with them by 20%

good job helping out US trade deficit.

Why are you relocating? If its your company ask them to cover the fees associated with you having a car there. Asking you to move half way around the world has to have some perks associated with it.
