s2000's never seem to make the cut...
To my recollection, it won the roadster shootout in Car and Driver back in the day.
There was something to the effect of saying the S2000 was the physical embodiment of the mythical roadster in your dreams.

Yeah I could whip out many issues of Car and Driver where the S2000 almost always seemed to make it into their "10 Best" bracket. It has definitely been featured very often in magazines I've read. It's funny though that years ago when I was younger I just read about that car and how much they liked it and years later I'm on the verge of purchasing one.

I think a lot of it is the politics of the publishing companies that own the magazines. The S2000 doesn't necessarily cater to the majority of the automotive world, so...a lot of publications don't give it the credit that we all know that it is due. But quite frankly, I don't really mind that the S2000 remains an automotive gem that not a lot of people fully comprehend the capabilities of...a drivers car that is a precision instrument I am not paying an arm and a leg to own. Handing someone there ass in the twisties and elightening the naive is so gratifying.
