Darn! I hate when I am encumbered by literacy! In this thread I think that you may be right. But, I have seen that comment all over this site that S's cannot be driven in the rain.
Driving in the wet requires a light touch. Running a bull through a china shop will never work IMO.
Yeah, it was a joke. I've been here long enought that I've seen the, "@#%& S2000 Suxxx in the rain" threads more than a few times. It amazes me how many people complain about it car's inability to be driven in the rain directly correlates with the length of ownership (i.e. - the majority of those complaining have owned the car for <3 months). And yes, I've spun out in the rain. It was all my fault. (No, I didn't hit anything)

For my part, I've driven in frog-strangling rainstorms, including through standing water, with zero problems. Others, however, seem to wrap their cars around utility poles after a single raindrop. I can't understand quite how they manage to do this, but I don't doubt that they do, somehow.
So let's be careful out there. And Matt's right: if you're worried about it, invest in a driver's training course like the Skip Barber one. HPH
This is also good advice that the dealers do not warn you about! S02's do not provide much grip at temps below 50*F until one puts some heat in them. In low temperatures be very careful.
