For those who feel that they have benefitted from this thread, and would like to learn more, I recommend the following books. There really is no substitute for getting advice from F1 champs and SCCA National Champions, and the guys who know it all already can see just how full of crap RED is, by reading what the REAL experts have to say, and comparing.

Seriously, these are all books that I have found very helpful.

OK, now that everybody's feeling all warm and fuzzy, can I ask a question? Why do almost all of these threads start AND end just like this? Someone posts an experience or an opinion, gets trashed initially by people exercising absolutely no tact whatsoever, an arguement ensues, valid points surface in spite of all the bickering, and the end result is almost always 100% positive. Why can't we skip the middle part? When you read something like this, don't start banging away at the keys with the first thoughts that come into your head. Think about it for a minute. Take all of your experiences and knowledge into account before you start condemning the poor soul. I don't understand why this type of communication brings out the initial worst in people. If we were all standing in bar somewhere talking about this very thing, I gaurantee everyone would not respond the same way. Something about being face to face makes you run your comments through the "socio-filter" before you utter them.

Can we get there here?

P.S. And now for the inevitable "no hard feelings" sentiments. I'll start. honda606, no hard feelings?

Phil
