Yep, they pulled apart the trim ring around the cluster and removed it, cutting the harness to get the plugs as well. Start button as well. Worst part was that I couldn't even drive it to the shop because I couldn't start it. They replaced the cluster but didn't reprogram it (it is possible, despite what most people say) so the mileage was way low. I'm getting it adjusted to accurate though because it bothers me.

Because they cut the harness you can't just replace the plugs so the whole dash had to come out to replace the $600 harness, then they scuffed the dash when removing it and had to replace it as well.
