Default s2k clutch engagement..

Hey fellow owners, I posted recently about buying a used s2k soon and also how to drive a manual (since I don't really have practice with one). The story goes, yesterday i took my cousin to a honda dealership to test drive a silver s2k. It has 28K miles and listed for $21,850 (although im trying to negoiate for $20,500). Anyhow, since i don't know how to drive a stick that well i asked my cousin to test drive for me and see how it feels. He said its an awesome feeling but the only thing he mentioned was how high the clutch engagment was. He said you pretty much have to be at the tip of the cluctch pedal when it engages. I was wondering if this is true for all s2k's or should i steer clear from this one.

PS- At what RPM should i feel the vtec kicking in????

Thanks for all your inputs!

VTEC "kicks in" at just under 6k rpm.

He said you pretty much have to be at the tip of the cluctch pedal when it engages.
I have no idea what this means.

Not sure if all s2k's clutch engagement is high but mine is, 6k is the rpm you should feel vtec kicking in, anyways Goodluck with the purchase.

By that i think he meant at the point almost where you would get your foot off the clutch pedal.

Oh BTW, the one I am looking at is MY06.
