S2K COMMENTS/COMPLIMENTS
I drove my sister to college in the S2K. When she was walking around saying hi to friends she would introduce me as her kind brother who drove her up. The reply we usually got was, " We saw you drive up in that new Porsche".
Another time I was at the store when I saw an old friend of mine in the parking lot. When he and his girlfriend started checking out my new ride, she started to laugh. She said that she thought it was funny that I put Honda emblems on my Porsche.
Completely un-scientific, but from my experience women mistake the S2000 as a Porsche while the men think it's a BMW.
At a gas station one time I had someone ask if it was a Porsche. I replied, "No, it's a Lotus". Then just smiled and drove away.

Brought my daughter to kindergarden one day and passed a 7yr old girl telling a 6yr old boy, "That's the new Honda!"
I get kids from 6-10 shouting out "That's a nice car, Mister!" all the time.
Gotta say...some kids are smarter than some adults

One morning in the corner of my eye...I saw a policeman jump on his motorcyle because he clocked my speed (speeding). I guned it and tried to loose him in some back roads.
Technically I wasn't running from him beacause he wasn't flashing his lights yet...haha.
Anyhow, he was ticked off and when he was writing me the ticket...he said "What is this...a new BMW?".
I told him it was a Honda...and he looked at me like I was pulling his leg. He said..."I don't think so". I showed him the "H" on my steering wheel and he wrote me the ticket and took off.

Great anecdotes! Reminds of two in particular that have happened to me.
-- Filling up after a day at Gingerman, I was approached by a guy who said, "Wow, that's an aweomse looking car! What does it do in the 1/4 mile, about 11 seconds?" I said, "Yea, give or take!"
LOL
-- I was in traffic in downtown Chicago one afternoon and this cute old couple were admiring my car. She rolls down her window and said, "Is it as much fun to drive as it looks?!" Very sweet...
I have had 5 separate occasions when people took pictures of me, errr, my CAR while on the road, downtown or just goofing around. I always get a chuckle out of that and it's very flattering. I'm sure they edit me out of the pictures though!
