Hey RazorV3,

Wish it was a supercar.
While every other person agrees w/ Seung, I'm not sure why the new NSX wouldn't be considered a supercar? I thought it was...
Are supercars only considered supercars if they come from Europe???
What are some non-European supercars? Viper, Z-06, Shelby, Saleen S7???
Maybe I'm confusing the two words: supercar and exotics. I'm w/ you on this one nvr2fast. What defines a supercar?
Also, what kind of cars are listed on the Supercar challenge video game?

I got this list off of one of the supercar websites on the web:

McLaren F1
Lamborghini Diablo VT
Bugatti EB110
Jaguar XJ220
Porsche GT1 Stasseversion
Vector M12
Cizeta Moroder V16T
Ferrari F50
Lotus GT1
Dodge Viper GTS
Chevrolet Corvette
Koenig C62
Acura NSX
Isdera Commendatore
Maserati 3200 GT

I'm pretty sure there are plenty more/others, but they did list NSX, Viper, Vette as supercars.

Cizeta Moroder - nice. I used to love that car - it was my dream machine (I was about ten at the time).

I pretty much consider the Porsche Turbo to be an entry level supercar.

Modena, 996TT, NSX Type-R, Gallardo and MAYBE GT3 are all junior supercars. The cars that Seung posted are the real supercars.

A corvette as a supercar?!? LT'S S2K, that should tip you off that the website you quoted doesn't know what they're talking about. No way a corvette is a supercar.

Maybe an NSX is a supercar, but the problem I have with that is that compared to supercars that have been released in the last few years the NSX's performance isn't really comparable. It's getting long in the tooth.

Are we trying to be politically correct here? I suspect not... There isn't any US-made supercar, despite GM's and Chrysler's protestations to the contrary. At least not by the definition most use of exclusivity, extreme performance, etc... Saleen has begun making one, I think, and from what I read about it it should meet the standard. I'm not sure if it's available yet.

I also think that the NSX is better called an exotic than a supercar. Wickerbill's comment is right on. I suppose this begs the question of "what is an exotic?" There's a lot more gray in that definition, and you might slide a Vette or Viper in there. But, no, definitely not supercars.

If you pay $200 plus for your wiper blades, and don't feel the need to ask the tech why? you are a certified "exotic" owner .

I would say Shelby's new release an American Supercar.

i've always thought that "exotic" and "supercars" are diff.
do you guys agree? what do you think?

supercars are exotics,
but not all exotics are supercars.
