Thanks for all the kind words everyone. I did it for the positive feedback from you guys and of course for the karma.

I forgot to mention this! I manually filtered out all of the CRs because I knew this would cause a source of variability (just like I did for salvage titles). This is one thing worth revisiting.

I mentioned it in the post but I know it was pretty long... I am a mechanical engineer in the semiconductor industry. As a broad description, I design machine equipment for chip & memory fabricators.

I actually recorded this but left it out and forgot to mention it. Only 10 out of the 215 cars came with a hardtop included in the price. Statistically it is significant, with an average 5% additional asking price.

That's awesome, but not using comas on the mileage makes my eyes hurt.

This kills me too. This is something my software doesn't allow.

You Sir get the S2000 owner of the century award. Also, as a side note, It is nice to see there are still people with a decent education out there. Thanks.

Very nice analysis. Here's another "bookend" data point for the AP1: an essentially perfect MY00 with 2600 miles, asking $30K. Per the listing, the "CarStory" market assessment is $31.6K, which is in line with your analysis and supports the conclusion that this is a pretty sweet deal. In other words - somebody jump on this!
