Yeah, you're going to have to explain that.

I own my car. I have a title from the state of Texas that says so. It has monetary value (i.e., I can sell it and someone will give me money). So, what exactly do you mean when you say that a vehicle is not an item of value owned?

When you sell it, come back tell me if you think it had any value.

I sold mine for $21,000. It had value. It was an asset worth $21,000.

Are you drunk?

I think you've realized you're wrong but are unwilling to admit it.

If I were going to sell it, I would be more than happy to tell you that it had value. I'd even to be willing to tell you exactly how much value it had after I sold it. Obviously, the amount of value that it has when I sold it would be less than when I bought it... but that's what the "depreciating" part of "depreciating asset" refers to.

Anyway, I'm not going to sit here and argue with somebody that's obviously wrong. Feel free to continue being wrong, and I'll feel free to continue being right and we'll both be happy.

I don't think either one of us is wrong, we just each have a different way of looking at it.

That's a matter of opinion. My "wrongness" has provided me a financially independent life. So I'll carry on being wrong.
