And what makes you the expert on that topic? Some of us dont feel the $30 is worth it. Some of us think the board does just fine from advertising. I personally chose not to renew because of the restrictions placed on people who dont think its worth $30.
I don't have to be an expert to know that most trolling comes from guests and I doubt the majority of revenue comes from advertising. If you don't think it's worth it then why is you ppd so high? You've posted over 700 times! WOW, it ain't worth it!

Theres no reason to be a guest for a year and not pay the $30 to help keep this board up.

I think of it as free loading.

You don't have to own a S2k to be on this board that's why we have the owners and the enthusiest categories, but then I guess the rules don't apply.

Good for you in paying off your bills. Sounds like a reasonable thing to do. As a matter of fact owning a different car would be even more reasonable. Like a gas sipping civic or a hybrid.

On this car around 10-15k is the norm for replacing tires and typically those that wait until 15k are really pushing it.
exceltoexcel,

Sorry, I was posting out of ignorance and didn't realize it. From the way your original post was worded, I thought that the only thing required to be a non-guest was to have an S2k and therefore a unique VIN to associate with your username. I was not aware of the $30/year charge. Wow, lurking for a month and had no clue, odd.

Although I must say I wouldn't actually pay the $30 until I HAD an S2k, you know how plans can change.. But your opinion was more reasonable to me in light of this new info.

And no thanks, I'm definitely not buying a gas sipping anything. As far as I'm concerned, an S2k sips, anyway -- at least does better than the last 4 cars I had. No, I'm not another 16 year old looking for mommy to buy him a new car.

You know most boards are free. Thats what attracts registrants. You how fast this board would die if they made it paying members only?

And are you saying I'm a troll becuase I have 700 posts? Well guess what a-hole half of those are from when I was a paying member.

Lost the attitude jerk and dont generalize all of the guests because they choose to not renew.

Whoa, how did this turn into an argument about paying membership fees?

I wish we would all just stop this war between paying members and non-paying members. We all contribute to this site in some way or another.
