Evo. Stock it'll smoke the S2000 and with the $4K difference between the Evo and the STI you'll have plenty of cash for rims/chip/exhaust.

You may get a few answers for the S2000 here on S2ki.com

I'd take the S2000.

Well, I'm not going to assume you're dumb or anything, just really tired. Given that this is an s2k forum- its obvious I chose the s2000. These cars are priced right around each other. It's not like the Evo or STI were more costly than the s2000 either. I picked this car because of the go-kart handling, stunning looks, awesomely engineered engine and because the freedom you feel when the top is down, driving at a brisk pace puts a smile on my face- I have great taste! (mayn, I'M tired!) I feel free, like a bee, come see, and you will be, in bliss for eternity! (flame away!)

I choose the S2k and would not even consider changing my mind if I had to do it all over again. I test drove an EVO8 and was not impressed.

If you're interested in performance, the Evo is the way to go.

However, if you're not quite sure about the rules of grammar, punctuation or logic it looks like the S will put you in good company.

I agree. If all you care about ist great straight line performance and excellent handling, the EVO is the way to go. Keep in mind the S2000 is also very capable at handling well, but only in the hands of the right driver. The average driver will be much faster in an EVO than in a S2k.
