I had the same choice 2 years ago and picked the s2k. Haven't regretted it.

same quesion I debated over in January. I went with the S2000 over the others. Why? Love the convertable in nice weather Evo- ugly IMO and dealership wanted as much as an STi. STi- thought hard about it, but in the long run was gonna be more expensive. i.e. over $100 just for a brake pad. Honda reliability

evo and sti are both riced out 4 door sedans... if you are looking for looks, handling, performance... get the s2k... boy i look good with the top down and 2nd gear at vtec.. try doing that in an evo....

ahahah... nice day at the track (dragstrip or road course)...which would you rather have?

Just messin.... i have both.... Evo is the performance king in almost all aspects, plus can be modified for big gains for cheap.

[QUOTE=tabach0y273,Apr 8 2005, 04:26 AM] Well, I'm not going to assume you're dumb or anything, just really tired.

s2000,

here is why.

1. i just could not live with that boy-racer looks...
2. s2000 gives comparable performance to Evo and STI...it's not necessarily better, but the difference in car performace is really nothing when you factor in driver's ability in real life.

3. open air...open all the windows and sunroofs and stick your head out and drive on a nice sunny day in Evo or STI then you get a gist of how it feels: don't forget to wear a goggle...and let someone else drive

I have a friend with an '03 EVO and another with an '05 STi. I've drove both of them back to back down the same stretch of road along with an '04 s2000. My impressions:

STi - awesome low end power but wheezed out up top, decent handling, ok shifter feel, didn't really feel connected to the road

EVO - not much low end, good mid-range and top end, great handling, ok shifter feel, felt very connected with the road, steering so fast that it almost felt too fast, you really had to concentrate to drive it.

s2000 - smooth power across the whole band, great shifter feel, steering felt just right, felt very connected to the road, very fun to drive, didn't have to concentrate to drive and the car just did what you wanted it to.

That's it in a nutshell. I'd pick the s2000, but you really should drive all of them and make the choice for yourself based on what you like/dislike and what you plan to do with the car.
