Thats about right. RM is closer to 650 and HM is closer to 750. My friend has RM on his civic - sounds awesome. Be careful not to melt your bumper - Tanabe RM spits fire.

Thanks everyone for all the help... after reading all the posts I have decided that I want to go with the best I can afford...

Now, after a lot of hard internet searching and hours of research, I have decided on Mugen as a #1 Choice. Titanium and Stainless along with 24 lbs. lighter than stock...

HKS ranks a close second with Comptech right there...

HKS has a great product I hear, and lighter than stock, but lacking the Titanium Stainless to date.

Comptech, this is a tough one.. although near the same weight as stock, and affordable, the quality seems far superior in the photos than the others I have seen. It is real tough to discount them, but without hearing any, to me, it's still a crap shoot...

Well, thanks again everyone, I appreciate your inputs....
and I hope I am making a great decision....

If anyone knows of a great mail order house for this Mugen exhaust - please let me know as my local installer is not a rep, and cannot order them direct.

Thanks

Prolene is selling his used Mugen exhaust. You might want to see if he still has it. King is the only distibutor for Mugen products in the US, so you'll have to buy it from them. Also, I don't know if you checked out Spoon, Amuse, Apexi, Neuspeed, Nippon, Feels, and J's Racing. There's so many choices that you may or may not have considered.

And not a bad choice at all IMO. You can't really go wrong with Mugen if you can afford it ($1500). Especially if you can get Prolene's used one at a good price
I just placed my order for J's Racing N1 exhaust ($835 cat-back, $55 optional silencer). Can't wait! e

If you want a combination of lightweight, power, and a good price, I would say Spoon N1 single outlet exhaust, but Neuspeed is the undisputed value king for dual outlet exhaust -> FULL stainless steel construction (from the cat back to the tips, no mild steel components), it's also about 15 pounds lighter than stock.
Richard, do you have a pic of the newest design?

Prolene,

Please remind me why you're making the switch...

Thanks.

For the slight weight reduction, for single pipe performance, as the Mugen ecu suggests use of single pipe exhaust, and without losing too much in increased loudness. The Mugen, imo, sounds the best to me, though others might like the deeper sound of the Neuspeed.

Also, for the price, the Spoon comes with straight pipe cat replacement, which I am not considering using at this time, and the removeable 'silencer'.

Anybody know why the Tanabe RM is much cheaper than the others? Is it because the others (Mugen, Spoon, J's, Amuse, etc) have to be shipped over from Japan and Tanabe is easier to get in the States? I really like the RM's, but makes me kinda hesitant to buy it because its soo much cheaper. And another thing, does Apex make a dual exhaust for the S2K?
