Which S2K has the best seat material?
Durability? CR wins.
Looks? The tan leather of the earlier S2000's wins...
There is nothing sexier than white with tan leather seats....if only I could have found that combo when I was in the market.

I can't imagine seats more durable than those in my 01. The car has 120K miles and the leather is still perfect. They really do look new. I've seen leather seats with 20K on them that were thrashed.
I like the looks of the CRs though.

I've personally EXPERIENCED all the s2000 interiors over the years since this is my 4th s2000.
My first one was an 01 Spa and the all black interior was actually in really good shape now that I think back. It was supportive and the backrests were quite a bit "deeper" probably because it had 30,000 miles on it when I brought her home.
My pair of 05's (rio and silverstone) had all black and red/black combo's respectively. They had the holes in the headrest too which I loved for it's comfort level and looks. The leather material however was a bit on the hard side but most likely Honda engineers realized this was more durable on a car that will see a lot of direct sunlight.
Then I recently picked up my 09 GPW which has the all RED seats with black seatbacks. I actually love/hate these. The leather material is BY FAR the most high quality however the seat backs seem too firm and protrude out a bit so it makes me feel like I'm sitting on the seat vs being supported in the seat. I swapped these 09 seats for a complete 08 CR interior and the 08 CR seats are exactly the same as the 09. Not too supportive but the material/craftsmanship is top notch
So after my novel above, all said and done if I HAD to pick OEM seats, I would do the CR seats or the 08/09 seats just for leather quality. However right now I'm not happy with the seating position of any of these seats and really really really miss my Bride setup in the Rio. If the BYS rails doesn't fix what I'm after, the CR seats will be sold for my Brides again
Pics speak a thousand words so here's the seats I was talking about:
My 2001 interior:

My 05 Silverstone:

My 05 Rio (OEM was all black, I had this 2-tone custom stitched)
