S2K Insurance Rant
Just wanted to vent that my Insurance went UP. By almost $150 for 6 months
Just got my premium renewal from State Farm.
Said something like "Because of the claims made against this vehicle the class/ranking has increased a category"
So when you get your insurance policies, check what it says.
Pissed off.... Damn seat thefts I tell ya!
Needless to say, I'm going to start shopping. But I doubt I'll find better coverage for cost....

Yes, the cost to insurers in claims for collision and theft (think seats) damage to S2000s has made them among the more expensive cars to insure these days.

I find that most insurance companies increase your rates slowly over the years. Just enough to notice, but not enough to be alarmed.
Go shop around. I usually shop every 2-3 years and get a much better deal. Then they raise my rates for no reason for the next 2-3 year, then the cycle starts again.
They come up with any reason they can to raise your rates - valid reasons or not.
I know some people don't like Progressive, but I've gotten the best rates from them.
