S2K Insurance Rant
Just insured my 00 s2k that I just purchased and my insurance went down $48 a year from my wife 98 volk beetle we traded in. Go figure. Makes no since to me but im not complaining. Unitrin rules. Most people havent heard of them but I've had them for 3 years and totaled 2 cars and they've been great about taking care of me. They beat everyone!

Just curious, how much do you guys pay per year on insurance? I'm currently paying about $1500 CDN per year (12 months, all purpose).

Just wanted to vent that my Insurance went UP. By almost $150 for 6 months
Just got my premium renewal from State Farm.
Said something like "Because of the claims made against this vehicle the class/ranking has increased a category"
So when you get your insurance policies, check what it says.
Pissed off.... Damn seat thefts I tell ya!
Needless to say, I'm going to start shopping. But I doubt I'll find better coverage for cost....

My insurance has never gone down since getting this car. Ever. No claims or tickets either. Wanna be scared? I am. Renewal is in june.

2003 rates are artificially low since that is the year I bought the car. Actual premium if I had the car for the full year was about $1150.

I just got my S2k last month so I cant really give any impression on it's insurance, but my Celica before, I consistantly had my premium drop every renewal with Safeco. From almost $650/6mo down to $514/6mo with a ticket and not-at-fault accident right before getting the S, and it only went up $100/6mo for me.
I'll be finding out how much more/less it changes from that in April.
