Default S2k Ipod Option

I search on here for iPOD connectivity options for the stock head unit and didn't find much or at least a cheaper option. I'm not sure if anyone is using this here yet, but I ordered this Metra unit from CircuitCity.com a few weeks ago and it works fantastic. You just plug it in the back of your head unit where the CD changer plugs into and then plug it directly to your iPod after. Installation takes less than 15min. No cutting or splicing.

Con: The only downside to this unit is, other than the volume, I can't control the iPod from the driver side controllers.

Pros: The unit charges the iPod and gives you full control of your iPod unlike other units. This is great for those with video's in their iPod because it won't lock your iPod screen. The unit only cost $50.00. Takes very little time to install.

Just thought I'd drop this information for those looking for a way to plug in their iPod's to their s2ks.

Cheerio!

This should work for the AP2's (never tested it myself)

At the back of the headunit are two connectors. There's the longer one that connects to the main unit and one that I believe is for the changer. If you have the changer, just disconnect it and plug this one in.

No- this plugs into the back of the radio and bypasses the CD changer. You won't be able to use it any longer but won't care since all the songs from your cd's will be on the iPod...

I Think you were thinking he was asking if you could use both a changer AND an IPod adapter at the same time. You're right about that, no, you can't.
