I'm planning on purchasing my '02 S2K in March. Just thought I do some research and learn more about the car and it's upkeep. My two previous cars were a 1994 Mazda RX-7 and a 1995 M3.

(1) What should I expect in reference to owning the car?

(2) How reliable is the S2K?

(3) I know that Honda in general makes very reliable cars (Accord, Civics, etc.), but is it the same for the S2K being that this is honda's first "real sports car"?

(4) Is the S2K a finicky car? I know my '94 RX-7 was somewhat unrealiable and very finicky.

(5) Is the S2K pretty much a trouble-free car other than regular maintenance and tune-ups?

(6) How often do you have to check the fluid? I had to check the fluids on my RX-7 everyday and every time I drove the car. Do you have to do this for the S2K.

Thanx for all the info fellas. My biggest beef about the RX-7 was that I modded up the wazu and then had to yank and replace the engine at 60,000 miles (yep that's rite 60,000 miles). One thing that I like about the S2K is that its a Honda and I know that Honda reliability is top notch. So I plan on modding the S2K up the wazu also, and hopefully she will last for years to come.
