Learning the car's traits makes it a blast to drive when dry, but when conditions are wet (especially in heavy rain) the car should be driven cautiously.
AS said before - EXACTLY

Come on man! It was a taco and I was typing on my laptop. I was devoting at least 14% of my attention to the road...

try using s0-2 's up front with 20% tread left and almost bald ES100's in the rear.... when it was raining my confort zone on the hwy was like 45 - 50 mph..

i use toyo t1-r's now. they feel GREAT in the rain. id reccomend these tires to anyone! of course the only thing i have to compair them too is what i listed above but still im VERY satisfied with them.

It takes no special driving talent to go 75 in a straight line in the rain. Grandma has passed me, probably with her cruise control on, in such situations.

If you go faster than your tires can push the water away, you hydroplane. Hydroplane- your tires are riding on water, not pavement. I'm convinced S02's with their limited tread depth are prone to hydroplaning. I personally slow down in the rain since many of our freeways have developed tire grooves where water stands.

on good tires, rain is no problem. respect the rain. water and different road surfaces makes a big differents.

problem with the s02 is that they go from "great" to "crap" as it wears. there is no inbetween.

lol...i know (fact) of two different instances where a dealer(or a service guy or some worker) from Honda dealership here (Mass.) was going to drop off a New S (03,then 04) to the new owner (everything was all set,,just had no way to get to dealership for pickup)...so few mins after he leaves the lot...a lil rainy out..and tried pushing it (dropped gear down to hear the engine) and booom...head on crash..into guardrails,,TOTALED...then almost the Same thing happend with a 04 dropOff..(NO rain).hahh...one of those guys got fired.(the one that didnt was the Owners son..lol)..how embaressing is that..wow...
moral of story is...no matter how stable u may have felt in a situation wit rain...DONT push it toughguy,,u gotta sissyDrive it til ur back in ur garage..thats the code.(sissyDriving a lil while is better than losing that nice ride forever)
