Default s2k soft top

Hello everyone, thinking if I should get an s2k.

I used to drive a Miata, and the manual top is REALLY annoying and the hook was kiind of loose too.

Just wondering if s2k electric soft top need the driver to manually anchor the roof to the A pillar after it's closed.

Would really appreciate for any answer..

thanks

yes you need to manually do/undo the latches. make sure you secure the hooks properly before putting the roof down, I hear you can rip the soft top otherwise!

no, the top can be ripped (I think I read before) if you don't put the clasp back in its proper place. So if you undo the 2 buckles and they're sort of dangling about, and then you drop the roof, it may catch onto the latch and ripped.

it's a maybe, not a guaranteed thing--not a common issue.

I'd say after dropping the top a few times that unhooking the latches will become 2nd nature, kind of like putting in the clutch when 1st starting the car.
