Default s2k vs GTR vs EVO [long]

I want to know how well an s2k would do against these cars [Nissan Skyline GTR, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI]

Last night i went for a hoon in a GTR and WOW!, dropping the clutch produced 4 wheel spin and vroom we were off! 0-60 in 5.4 sec... 4 wheel steering, 4 wheel drive, twin turbo, the torque of the beast is amazing third gear, it would just pull from 50km/h and just go like a rocket......... where as the stook would need a couple of down changes to produce the same effect....

but after coming home and looking @ CAR magazine which quotes 5.4 0-60, i looked at the stook, 0-60 5.7, i didn't think it was that fast, then i decided to look at the Lancer Evo VI 4.9 and that's the GSR version, not the RS [faster]

after all this thinking, it came to how hard would it be to get the stook beating these cars, if not 0-60 then at leat on the 1/4 mile. The advantage they have is the way they launch, 4 wheel drive with such immense torque, No Brainer......

0.3 of second needs to be gained from the stook to equal the GTR... i'm thinking exhaust [mugen] and K&N air filter? maybe more, i dont want to SC it....yet

So any suggestions for the EVO?

I can tell u that the evo is crazy fast when modded.. my bro has a evo 5 and he has all the upgrades, Apexi AVCR, 5 zigen exhaust, intercooler pipe, 660 cc injectors ,apexi AX turbo upgrade, Apexi power FC , Apexi wastegate and BOV.. He dusted a a GTR R34 with 1.5 bar boost.. tht's amazing...

I doubt whether the S2000 (as fast as it is) could live with either of these two cars of 1/4 mile. Both of these cars (well in the UK) claim to have 280 BHP but this is just a japanese law thing and I know one magazine that tested a GTR 34 that put out approx 340 BHP. The Evo is similar but even more acceleration oriented, I've seen 0-60 times of 4.4 secs in the UK magazines for this car.

The only benefit the S2000 has over these rivals is weight but I still doubt that it could live with either of them. On the other hand I don't think I could live with either of them as they are damn ugly brutes. The new GTR 35 is far better looking car but I'm not sure if its actually out yet as I've only seen prototype photo's.

Don't even go there ... On a straight, they will definitely blow stooks away, that's what I think anyway if they've been slightly modified or not. Easily with a boost controller, full straight exhaust system, that will be good enough. The torque on those turbo cars are pretty high stock itself without touching any configuration. Minimum of 280ps anyway, so don't doubt that extra 40ps - 30ps they have over stooks.

Er......do not put S2K and these 2 cars in the same league...no comparison possible in performance....maybe just top speed with the EVO (stock)

I have seen an EVO 7 RS do the 1/4 mile in 12.9 seconds, which is considerably faster than any S2000.

I would classify the S2000 as one class down from the real monster cars such as the Modena, EVO 7, GTR and Porsche Turbo.

aws an owner of a 993TT and an S2K I must say that yes, the S2K is like a smaller, more nimble slower version of the Porsche...I can't wait to see what the mugen exhaust and comptech supercharger will do...

i dont know about S2k and GTR and EVO in stock form but i know once the cars have been modded, the GTR could take EVO and S2k both, by alot! actually it depends on the EVO if its EVO 5 it might still have a chance, but the GTR with intercooler and the right turbo could reach up to around 1105 hp and the evo could reach up to 750 hp while the current turbo for S2k by speedoptions have the potential for around 500 hp <not dynoed yet>

well mebbe my info isnt exactly accurate so dont flame me please

Above all ... I agree most with Sev ... He's truly right on this one, our car is already considered tuned to almost perfection. Of course, to suit your driving style ... You can always tune it more to that. For sure, nothing beats driving experience to produce real skills on track or off in any type of situation and circumstance.
