I went against a Porsche Boxter on my way to work the other day. I was going 80 mph when he flew by me so I threw it into 3rd then and redlined it, went to 4th and was able to catch up with him. When I was beside him, we were going at 120mph and I looked at him and we took off. By the time I was at 150, I was about 3/4 of a car length ahead of him. Then my Escort Passport 8500 radar detector started going off so I punched the brakes and he did the same. Overall, it was a great race, and I would encourage any S2000 owner to race a Porsche Boxter. I don't know about other cars because I live in Indiana where most people don't buy sports cars. Mostly just a bunch of farmers

I took all the Boxters at the local auto x two weeks ago. Closest Boxster was half a second behind me.

There is no such car as a Boxter.

And here I thought the original question was just a comparison question. Including price, quality, reliability, and THEN performance.

I race a bit myself but I agree that 120-150 is only asking for trouble. Just slow down to 70 and do a quick run through the top of 3rd gear.
