Default s2k vs Recaro SRD seat Q's........

Hello, first of all I would like to say what a great message board this is with PLENTY of information!!! I have been researching practically all of the seat information my eyes could handle over the past few days here.

Here is my situation: I am about to purchase a theft recovery s2k, and as you may have guessed it does not have the seats. Before I buy a new set of OEM seats, I am considering a set of Recaro SRD's because I am 6'0 and 250lb (just call me thick, hehe)

Has anyone here sat in both sets of seats or even JDM recaros, and could give me some input, which set is wider, more comfortable, and would fit a large guy better, etc?

I would really appreciate any and all of your comments

Rob

I can not speak for how they will fit inside the S2000... but a 250lb person will not fit in an SRD. I am 5'11", 175lbs. have SRD's in another car and I am practically impotent from how cramped my seat is. Maybe I got a small bucket, but I thought that SRD's were all the same.

As far as fitting in an S2000... if I were to hazard a guess I would say that the bottom bucket would fit but the shoulders are too wide. I will take measurements of my seats (S2000 versus SRD) and post tomorrow.

Thx RWD! I will be looking for those measurements tomorrow. If you could measure the actual seat cushion and side bolsters seperately that would be great!

I am pretty sure that the seats won't fit the S2K cuz i bought 2 Recaro SR3 a yr ago.. the size is identical to the US version SRD and it doesn't fit into the car ...

I knew there was something I was forgetting.

SORRY.

I promise on my mother's grave that I will have measurements by tonight/tomorrow morning.

Thats ok, I really appreciate your help! Did you see the pic I sent you a link of? If you just color coordinate the measurements I will be thrilled.

So which seat do you think will be easier for me to get in?

thx
