S2k a week, already vandalized
You can get an alarm that does that, just turn the shock sensor to its most sensitive setting. The problem is it can cause the alarm to go off when a big truck goes by, strong gust of wind, stormy night etc etc. It gets to be more annoying for you and your neighbors than a help.
Stitos2k, was the car parked at work or at home?
Might want to check with the property managers. If an act of vandalism, they might have insurance to cover this... after all, if at work or at home, you should be entitled to a safe place to park your vehicle.
I think what s2000owner wanted was for the keychain unit to also beep when the car alarm is triggered... that way, one can head out there with a baseball bat and scare them off!
Really sorry to hear about your top... that sucks! (What town are you in?)

You dont have to use a shock sensor to do all that. Just get an alarm with infrared detection... set it to a sensitive setting... they dont even have to touch the car for it to set off. You could even have the top down and not worry, if someone even stuck their arm over the cockpit it would go off. Motion sensors will do almost as good as job as this too. Its prevented my ex show car from getting broken in many of times.
