Default s2k weird gas tank!

Well my story starts like this; My s2k usually tanks up with 10-11 gallons of gas more or less, but its always around that. Today i filled up and i got the sucker up to 13.1 WTF is up with that??? Im i going coocoo or what? My girl was laughing at me cause i keep looking under to see if it had a leak of some sort, and i didnt find anything. i dont want the car to blow up with me in it (maybe the woman, but not me ) Does this happen to anyone else?????

So you usually fill up before the tank is empty and this time you filled up when the tank was near empty?

Am I missing something?

Well 13.1 is basically the maximum limit, and I've never heard of anyone going past, say 12.8-12.9 gallons. If you hit 13.1, you must have gone a good 40 or 50 miles after the light went on...

Maybe their gallon is not really a gallon, it's less than a gallon for the price of a gallon, and that's why your calculation is right.

hmmm i usually end up driving on the light being on. i usually go pretty far, but not far enough to be stranded on the side of the street. i personally don't think my gas gauge is working correctly. sometimes i'll be cruising on the highway and i'll gain a bar on the cluster.
