S2K wouldn't START this morning, HELP!
I got in my S2000 this morning to get to work and the engine would turn over but it seems like the battery has been drained or something. Why would this happen? Ah, someone give me some input ... I'm worried. As I tried to turn the ignition more and more, the power seemed weaker and weaker, then I just gave up ... faulty battery??? No lights were left on.

Sounds like the battery is too low. Happened to me once when I did not close the door all the way. Recharge with a slow charge, and it should be OK. If you try to jump start it, be sure to read the manual first. Can damage multiple electrical componants if not done correctly.

I had my battery fail on me last week.
The battery was faulty and was replaced under warranty.
The car was fully checked and found to be o.k.
My car is only 5 months old.
Get the dealer to check out your car and battery, then replace under warranty if necessary.

Happened to me again this morning. Yesterday I had the battery recharged at Sears and drove home fine. Woke up this morning and the car wouldn't start again. Yesterday I started it finally after someone helped me jump start it and it ran fine for 30 mins all the way to Sears. I came home and left it overnight and the same problem is there again. Does this sound like a bad battery or a mechanical problem? I need some help guys.

The drain usually comes from running air conditioning, radio etc., or all the above on an already weak battery. If the battery is discharging at a higher rate than what is being put in it will not be able to hold an adquate charge for starting. As you drive and put a load on the battery from running the accessories it will slowly discharge, even though the charging system is fully operational. Batteries are nothing but a storage cell. If they are unable to store and maintain a 12volt output under load then they are defective. Simple problem simple solution!

so do you guys recommend me getting an aftermarket battery instead of getting one at the dealer? And if that new aftermarket battery fails again overnight, it will have to be a mechanical problem with the car right? Thanks.
