Fixable. Get a great shop, fix it right and you'll never know it happened.

Insurance is absolutely involved. Sadly a hit and run. Make matters worse, since there's no "evidence" of getting clipped the officer had to cite me for unsafe lane change.

All in all, it gives me hope that so many of you are saying this will probably get fixed. I have full coverage so it's definitely covered. I just don't have experience with this level of damage and have no clue what they'll estimate repairs at...

Don't know about the red interior but since its a Sebring it's a tragedy This is the time that we all must come to the realiziation that it is only a car. Ruin your day? Of course. Ruin your week ? Probably. Ruin your life? No way. Get it in the shop, get the insurance taken care of and you will relax and begin to dream again (happily of course). New Years resolution- 2010 is going to be a great year.

If he cited you then it's going to be an at fault accident and your insurance will go up.
I don't think insurance will go up if it's a hit and run. You'll need to go to the police office and dispute it, it'll be well worth the time for you in the long run.
Good Luck

I'm definitely going to fight it. I even have a witness that pulled over. Only reason I was cited was because the witness didn't actually "see" him nudge me and I don't have any damage to the bumper where he would've nudged me.

The officer said I could do something (mitigate? I don't remember) where it wouldn't go on my record unless I get another ticket within 2 years. Would that prevent my insurance from going up?

Sorry to hear that. My 02 has 44K miles on it, complete fair weather vehicle. I'd be so sad if something like this happened.

yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah that sucks. Chris, were you there when I crashed my car a few years back? You obviously know about the incident.

... I happened to see Big Blue wrecked on the side of the road yesterday, so I pulled over to help him. We're acquaintances from autocrossing & haven't seen each other in years. I didn't even know he'd bought an S2000... He greeted me with a line like "man, S2000 accidents always happen when you're around, huh?"

Haha!

... the damage is ugly, but the important thing is that you're alright. From what I saw the car looks like it'll be just fine after spending some time at a good bodyshop. And again: most importantly, you're a-ok.

... ps. fight the ticket!!!
