If you're talking completely stock with just an oem front lip and lowered: 06/07 without the windshield frame tape looks best right now, with the 08/09s coming in a close second (the classic 5 spoke wheel design looks fresh!!) from my unbiased non s2k owning perspective.

 

Is appearance the only deciding factor? If so, it sounds like you haven't done enough test driving.

And you can't determine what your own preference is?

 

When i first looked at the S. I wanted a AP2 in GPW with the red/black interior. That color combo i think still looks so clean. But i love the look of the CR and that is what i went with due to the GPW they had at the dealer they sold right before i got there. I did get a Rio Yellow one which is my 2nd favorite. But GPW just so clean. If i got another S it would be GPW for sure

 

I like the Ap1 headlights with the JDM or Rick's Clear OEM diffusers installed (i like his old OEM best. Why did he stop making them?!?!?). I dare say that if i had found an Ap2 i wanted, i would have done an Ap1 headlight conversion. The Ap2 headlights are too busy.

I do prefer the Ap2 rear bumper tho.

 

In an alternate dimension I would have an 06-07 LBP dropped on Gold V2s with a oem HT and Lip. I love v2s and ap2 headlights.

 

AP2... CR if you have the cash

 

i like the styling of the ap2 better. i like the body work and the lights mostly. i like the engine out of the ap1 better though. thats where i'm having my problem in choosing which one to buy

depends on what color exterior color you want and what color interior you want. my favorite year is 02 it is the only year GPW came with all read interior.
