Default S2K or Z4 3.0 SI........decision made!

I'm a regular on Bimmerforums and have owned 7 (and counting) BMWs. I sold my '98 M3 with mods over a year ago and have been looking to replace it. Many cars were on my list, including a newer M3. I drove a Z4 and really liked the roadster concept and thought the decision would be easy. Then I drove the S2K. After many test drives, I've decided to go with a Honda S2K instead of a Z4 3.0SI. The Z4 3.0 SI is a great car, don't get me wrong. In many ways is better than the Honda paritcularly for daily driving and comfort. I already have a nice daily driver and want something that's focused and purpose built. I have a decent budget as well going north of 20K if needed on an all cash buy. After several test drives of the Z4 and S2K, I've opted for the S2000 AP2 model for it's raw feel and back to basics approach to driving. I also plan on doing some HPDEs and autocrossing (as I did with my M3) which would be better suited for the S2K. It's a little bit like the E30 M3 (a true purist knows this car) for its light weight, a high output 4 banger and simplicity.

Congrats on seeing the light! PM Lilgreenman. He's selling his '05 Silverstone. Not sure on the mileage but it was well cared for. It has an aftermarket stereo and an Apexi WS2 exhaust, other than that it's stock.

Edit: had two windows open and thought your thread was in Metro (NY). Where are you located?

I'm in NorCal and looking for an AP2 within 100 miles of Sacramento.

Good choice.

Im on bimmerforums just as much as I am here. It moves at a much faster pace. In fact, I just posted in your thread there.

Spend the $20 on CarFax. Why would you post "I know it's a no-no" then do it anyway? Not a great way to start your s2ki.com career.
