Was out riding around tonight on A1A (main drag in Daytona) checking out all the sites (Bike Week)....I would call it the traffic jam from he!!...Amongst all the bikes and suvs and misc. vehicles was a silver and black S2000....pulled up next to it stuck in traffic....the only thing that I could think of off the top of my head to say to the driver was (Have you heard of s2ki.com)...His reply was no so I told him about how cool it was all the information that's on the site and having members all over the World....By the time I got finished telling him & girlfriend wife? they were pretty excited about the info.....so another member!!!....I think if there is one owner out there that doesn't know about this awesome and very informative site their has to be more....So here is my idea...have someone design a 1 page brochure or ad with the web address on it and quick summary of the site and put it in a thread so every one can download it or print it from the site..keep a couple in your vehicle and whenever you see one parked put one under the wiper,or see one on the road and have a chance to give them one do it........For a S2000 owner to know about this site would be a HUGE asset....So what does everyone think good idea or bad....me personally if I knew nothing of the site I sure wouldn't mind an ad under my wiper...........Brad
We made up cards to give people we see on the road or in parking lots. I have given out about 5 or 6 in the past few weeks since we made these, mostly pulling up to S2000s in my SUV and scaring them by waving a card at them.
One of the local dealerships is giving them away to all S2000s that drive in for service or that they sell. I would like to have all the dealerships give out the carsd.
It is more about our club, but the back mentions S2Ki.com
I tried printing the S2Ki.com cards on Avery business cards, but the spacing IS WAY OFF! I had to open up Acrobat to adjust the spacing, PITA. These ended up working better and stir up interest in our local group.
