S2Ki Cards Update?
re: http://www.s2000online.com/forums/showthre...?threadid=15198
Any word on a new design? The site has changed a bit since the original design and well... I'd be happy to offer up a design or two myself if anyone is interested. I could post the final in JPG, PDF, Quark, PSD etc...
OR we could have a little design competition.
Either way, does it pose a problem using "S2000 International" or associated logos/graphic/urls related to this site because it's now owned by Petersen?
If there's interest enough to design a new card that can easily be downloaded/printed/professionally printed I think there should be discussion as to the purpose behind the card and what elements are needed to be included and of course any possible copyright issues should be cleared up.
In addition, I think it would be cool to include a backside design option for those who would like it.
Let me know, thanks

Petersen Ventures LLC is a consortium of Me, Krazik and Honda Gal. We each own a piece of the pie so to speak. S2000Online has always been a trademark of PV LLC and the site always owned by such. Now, S2KI and S2000 International are also trademarks of same. The Contact Us link above provides complete contact info and a list of the directors. It's called Petersen Ventures LLC because that's my name, Erik Petersen.
I think a card design contest is an excellent idea. I can provide the fonts (Windows TTF) you will need for the S2000 International logo. As to copyright, that would be owned by PV LLC with a non-exclusive right to reprint and distribute. The logo as seen in the upper right corner is a trademark of PV LLC but all this is rather complicated. Basically you can use it to promote the site but not slander or demote it.
I'll post a link to the font package (freeware) containing all the necessary fonts soon.

Just as an update to this (further thinking, bouncing ideas around the studio) we could do a "group buy" on professionally printed cards and save big bucks by getting many names in one printing.
We could even offer that whoever has a winning design could get their cards for free... assuming enough people sign on.
I've got a staff with years of print design and press experience at my disposal (not to mention a number of local printers that love us), so you could be assured that the print quality would be of the highest caliber. And for those concerned, paper samples could be sent out.
Sounds like fun, no?
