Default Supercharger bugs status?

I almost cringe posting this, at the fear of all the "Do a search" backlash posts, but I poked around and couldn't find the status of how comptech is hammering out the (alleged) supercharger kinks. Anyone with an s/c (or even Mike@CT?) have more info on this? I'd love to purchase one, but I'm holding out till more people have some miles on them and can report in.

Thanks.. Sorry if I've missed something (and if I have, a kind nudge in the right direction would be greatly appreciated ).

Chris

Most of the SC cars I know of on here have 2,5000 to 5,000+ miles on the SC. Every driver has posted that they would "do it again". The performance issues are long gone. There are some current questions around cracked brackets, and a solution for that, but this has not affected me. I personally do not think that there are any reasons to hesitate on the purchase...you engine is not going to blow up; your differential, now that's a whole 'nother story.

Buy one

We have sent some brackets off to a company to have some sort of stress instrumentation installed so we can determine exactly what is causing the bracket failures. We are still waiting for these pieces to be returned to us. So at this point we haven't been able to determine the cause of the few bracket failures that have happened.

yeah chrisD,

You do it first and let us know what happens...

I'm putting my new clutch in soon, and from whats happening with wesmaster, I'm a little bit worried for my diff... I plan on getting an SC, but am a little worried after that.... Fine, the engine can handle the power, but not the diff??!!!! either way, your car doesn't work.. It really is too bad though... I would totally love that extra power, but I want to wait and see what happens to everyone else first, especially about the diff....
