Silver #3?

And I'm stuck with Silver #52!

Lisa, in the name of safety, I'd switch to a different color! Silver is a hard color to see, especially if you're the teensiest bit color blind, so a brighter color is a better choice. It's rare that anyone fails to see my red S2k, but my white Accord might just as well be invisible sometimes!

I think you should definately get another one but I agree with Sondra. I have red and you would have to completly blind to miss it. It's as bright and visible as the sun. I think yellow is very similar in this respect. Silver, black and white are going to get into way more accidents. I had a Corolla that was white and was hit twice, once in the front and once in the back (not my fault) in the first year I had it.

The reason is optic. The hotter the color the more irritating on the eyes and thus they stand out in a primarily neutral backgroud. Besides, the Chinese think that red is a lucky color. Get a custom plate with all 8's, you should be fine

Compare Sondras pic above to Barry's and you'll see what we are talking about.

Lisa,
Glad to hear that everyone is on the mend.
If it is an emotional decision, get the car. Not everyone has the opportunity to enjoy this car, so why refuse to live your life because of a small risk. The chances of another bad accident are so small, I would get another S2K.
The only curse that may exist is the one we bring out of our own imagination.
Go for silver #3, and use your headlights 24/7. (In Canada we have DRL -Daytime Running Lights - keeps your lights on all the time. Studies show a marked reduction of traffic accidents since their introduction there.)
Good luck with your decision.

Lisa
Get the damned silver. It's the one you want and it's the best colour anyway. I do agree about the visibility thing. On dull days and that dangerous time in the evening get those lights on.
I'd say 3rd time lucky!!

Is that like the businessman who always carried a bomb with him whenever he flew as a safety measure? He figured the chance was so low that a plane would TWO bombs on board.

In the interest of safety, I'd have to say yellow. I have a red and it is bright and very visible, but there are a lot of red cars out on the road so it still belnds in a bit. If you really want to be seen, then yellow would be the best.

I've never been a fan of "odd" colored cars, especially the yellow varieties, but I must say that I passed a yellow S2K on the highway the other day and it stood out (in a good way) like nothing I've ever seen. I looked up in my rearview about a mile up the road and could still pick him out quite easily.

The only place I had seen a yellow was in a showroom and the overhead lighting did not do it justice the way natural sunlight does.

Hmmmm? a Pick up truck or an S2000. Gee that's a tough one. I guess it depends if you have to haul stuff like manure / trees / 4x8 sheets of drywall / etc. OR if you want to have fun while you drive.
I have a truck and a S2000. Guess which one I like to drive better?
I'd say #3 - in Silver w/ red.

If you REALLY want to be seen, go for lime green. Of course, as a fellow silver owner, I'm a bit partial

Some people see the glass as half full, others see it as half empty....I see it as the waiter isn't doing his job!
