Thank You for posting this. If it keeps one person from doing something stupid, then its worth whatever flak you may receive from people on the internet.

I know that the countess stories I have read on forums have kept my head in check when I think about acting wreckless.

Lastly, im glad to hear that you, and your car, are ok. Stuff like this always humbles a person in regards to their car.

I'm glad no one got hurt, but sounds like luck had more to do with it than weight distribution.

This is my rule of thumb: Never drive in such a manner than if you encountered another person driving like you in the opposite direction that the shit would hit the fan. Same goes for SUVs not in their lane, deer, gravel, water, Priuses, etc. You have to leave reserve performance (the car's and your's) on the table.

i wouldnt say 50 50 helped you...i think u just got lucky. we all do stupid stuff. I am glad you are ok and learned from it and posted this so others can hopefully learn. stay safe all.
