Well you would think this would be a good thread but it is actually going to be a sad one

I just want to thank everyone for all the info you have given me. I have loved the S2000 since it should up here in the US shores back in late 99' Well I have gone through many imports, such as my first with the 02 WRX(highly modded), than with the 03 Lexus IS300(also highly modded) along with the 94 RX-7(which is out of this world, and I can't believe I am selling it this upcoming Saturday). After that there was the 350Z biggest piece of crap I have ever driven(no offence to other owners. Nissan ended up buying it back 8 months later.) Which brings me to the Current car. My 04 S2000. Yeah I know it doesn't show I am a registered owner, because I will no longer be lurking the forums so I did not put it in.

Well now that I have some what introduced myself I will get to the point. I don't think there is a better stock handling, fun-to-drive car around for the money than the S2K. But after being away from my heritage of muscle cars I am V8 sick. So I am going to see about trading in the Honda for a new 2004 SVT Cobra! I am very excited and I hope everything works out with it and I don't get totally screwed on the trade in.

I guess I wrote this also beacuse I was trying to get Road Rages opinion on his SVT and how he likes it or anyone else who has one? I have been in plenty of fast Mustangs but all of them have been solid rear axle and I was wondering how you like the Set up as a every day driver. I have driven a couple different Cobra but really haven't got to get on it to much so......

I guess I am asking for every to prey that everything works out for me and I will let you all know what happens and thanks for everything! you guys have a great group of people here and please don't hate me because I am going over to the dark side of the Demestics.

Thanks

-David

That is a sweet car, my friend had one and it was hella fast. He did a few minor mods to it, pulley, intake, exhaust, chip, and it gave it some mad gains, I want to say he ran low 12's or high 11's on street tires with it.

Make no mistake about it... You'll get totally screwed on the trade.

Good luck with the Cobra. It's a great car for the $$$.

Have you thought about supercharging the S for a little more kick? Sure it won't be as fast as the Cobra, but if you like the S2000.. don't give up on it just yet.

You'll most definitely pay extra $$ just for the swap to begin with.

I'd have a tough time trying to set myself apart from the rest of the Mustang crowd... there are SO many of them!

I just personally prefer the look of the S2000 over the Mustang regardless of how fast it may be.

I guess I prefer my 2 seater drop top over the muscle car... but that's just me.

But goodluck with anything you choose!

You will, without a doubt, get royally bitch-slapped on trade in.

If I were you I'd consider taking the $5-7k you are going to lose and buy a UR kit.

run boost on your s2k, then you will have the best of both worlds...handling and speed.

Sounds like money really isn't an issue...why not turbo the S?

It's an expensive endeavor, but hey, that doesn't seem to be your concern?

Cheaply built cars but very fast. Certainly won't last as long as the Honda and the resale value, forget it.. I would advise agaisnt the trade. You will be so far in the hole you will never get out. Not a wise move financially speaking. Also, you will get smoked by E55 AMG sedans all day long..
