I wouldn't think the OP gets much ice in San Diego.
The OP moved to Virginia IIRC.

I go top down here in cleveland winters as long is it's not snowing a lot. As long as I have my blizzaks I'm happy. It's funny how the people in every car you pull up to at a red light in the 10 degree weather roll their window down and give me a thumbs up or tell me I'm crazy. As long as I have a hat covering my ears I'm fine. When I take my snowboard to go snowboarding I HAVE to put the top down to get the board to fit in the passenger seat regaurdless of weather conditions.

Actually I lied, I just went to fit my board (156 cm) in the passenger seat and I got it in with some moving it around. It's just my excuse to have the top down.

That's awesome. I thought when I get an s2k I would have to get a winter beater, but maybe (with winter preparation) it can be winter driven (on the not stormy days).

I dont drive top down when there is snow on the ground or falling ( I dont drive the car because other idiots dont know how to drive in bad weather)...but if its just cold and no percipitation, Im driving, and Im driving top down. I do get weird looks though

IMHO, it feels very nice. With a hat, and a warm sweater, blasting the heat, it feels like you are in a hot tub in Denver...very pleasant.
