Does salvage title mean that the car has been 50% damaged or more? What are the bad things about salvage titles?

 

Salvaged means that the car has received damage that would cost more to repair than the car is worth, so it is totalled, I owned a salvaged vehicle for about a year and it was a headache, when a car gets crushed everything is altered even thinks that are not originally diagnosed, you will end up with problem after problem, but if your looking for a project car, a salvage title might be a good idea......... my 2 cents

 

Not to mention you'll have a tougher time reselling it

 

Unless you know exactly why it was salvaged, don't buy it. Salvage vehicles could be flood cars, which screw with the electronics, and it will be one major headache.
